The interviewer asks

A subscription business is losing customers. How would you investigate?

The answer
I would clarify whether churn means customers leaving or revenue lost, then compare it across cohorts and plans. I would look for a change in acquisition mix, product experience or pricing. The first split I would request is new versus established customers because those patterns suggest different causes.

Before you start

How to prepare your examples and get the most from your practice.

How should I prepare for this interview?
Prepare for both your experience discussion and any case assessment. Practise asking useful questions, testing a hypothesis and explaining what new evidence changes.
Are these actual BCG interview questions?
These are original practice prompts, informed by the public guidance linked on this page. BCG chooses its own questions, and the process can vary by role, location and level. Use your recruiter’s instructions for your specific interview.
Can I use examples from study or volunteering?
Yes. Pick a real situation where you made a decision, helped someone or solved a problem. Explain your own contribution and be clear about the setting.
Should I memorise the example answer?
Use it to understand the structure, then practise with your own experience. A story you know well is easier to adapt when the interviewer asks a follow-up.
How does spoken practice help?
Saying an answer out loud reveals the details you skip and the parts that run on. Bossed gives feedback so you can improve one part and try again.
How do I get started?
