See where your answer lost its point, what was missing and what to try next. Your own words, with feedback on each question and scores across four skills.
A real example, but most of it was about them, not you.
“So basically he just wasn’t doing his part, and everyone could see it…”
Spend most of the answer on what you did and said, then finish on the result.
-
“Tell me about a time you failed, and what you did next.”
Honest, and a real failure. The lesson came out as a strength: make it a change you made.
-
“Why do you want to join this scheme?”
Specific to the employer. Cut the opening about the industry.
-
“Tell me about a time you led a team.”
Clear situation. The follow-up asked for the result, and there wasn’t one yet.
Illustrative example. Your scores will differ.
“I had one teamwork story ready. Practising the follow-ups helped me answer what I would do differently without sounding like I was abandoning my example.”
One question, and what a strong answer does
An example of the kind of question you’ll be asked, and what the feedback looks for.
“Tell me about a time you had to work with someone who was not pulling their weight.”
Follow-up: “Looking back, what would you do differently?”
What a strong answer does
- Sets up one real situation in a sentence or two.
- Spends most of the answer on what you did and said, not on the other person.
- Ends with a result, ideally one you can measure.
- Answers the follow-up with a genuine lesson, not a disguised strength.

Before you ask
Does it cover the group exercise or the tests?
No. Bossed rehearses the one-to-one interview: competency and motivation questions with follow-ups. Group exercises, in-tray and e-tray exercises and reasoning tests are not covered.
Is an AI good enough?
For the reps, yes. It asks, listens and follows up on what you actually said, as many times as you want, at 2 a.m. or the night before. Then it scores four skills and quotes your own words back, so you know exactly which answer to fix.
Will it know the employer?
Paste the listing and add the employer’s own website. The interviewer asks why there from what the company says about itself. It is built not to guess at facts the employer’s site doesn’t give.
How fast can I start?
Setup takes about two minutes and needs no account. You choose a plan before your first interview.
How it works
Set up in about two minutes, then interview out loud and see your scores.
-
Add your CV and the scheme
Upload your CV, then paste the scheme’s listing link or its description. Add the employer’s website if you have it. Setup takes about two minutes.
-
Interview out loud
One AI hiring manager asks competency questions, listens and follows up on what you actually said.
-
Get scored on four skills
Technical, communication, problem solving and teamwork, each scored, with your own words quoted back and feedback question by question.
-
Follow a plan to the day
Set your assessment centre date and Bossed builds a daily practice plan up to it, aimed at your weakest skill.
The night before
The same evening, two ways.
Without rehearsing
- You have a teamwork story. You’ve never heard how long it takes to tell.
- “What would you do differently?” still gets “Um, nothing really.”
- Your “why this scheme” could be about any employer.
After practising out loud
- Each competency story has a clear result, and you know where it ends.
- The follow-up has an honest answer you’ve already said once.
- Your “why this scheme” names something only this employer does.
Good to know
5 minutes by default

Your interviewer speaks with a British accent.
