Demo session
The interviewer asks

Tell me about a lesson you changed because pupils were not understanding.

The answer
Halfway through a fractions lesson, the mini-whiteboards showed pupils were following the steps without understanding them. I paused the worksheet and used paper strips to compare sizes. Their explanations improved, and I used a short exit question to decide who needed another small-group session.

Before you start

How to prepare your examples and get the most from your practice.

How should I prepare for this interview?
Bring a lesson you adapted, an example of building trust and evidence of pupil progress. Keep pupil identities private and explain the school context.
Will these questions come up in my interview?
These are original practice examples covering useful themes for this role. Your employer will choose its own questions. Match your preparation to the job description and the interview invitation.
Can I use examples from study or volunteering?
Yes. Pick a real situation where you made a decision, helped someone or solved a problem. Explain your own contribution and be clear about the setting.
Should I memorise the example answer?
Use it to understand the structure, then practise with your own experience. A story you know well is easier to adapt when the interviewer asks a follow-up.
How does spoken practice help?
Saying an answer out loud reveals the details you skip and the parts that run on. Bossed gives feedback so you can improve one part and try again.
How do I get started?
