Start with the work the role needs
Read the responsibilities in the job description and identify the three you most need to demonstrate. For each one, choose something you have actually done. Your examples can come from work, study or other relevant responsibilities. This gives your preparation a purpose beyond working through a generic question list.
Use AI to organise your preparation
Use AI to suggest questions about the examples you plan to discuss. You might ask for follow-ups about the decisions, tradeoffs or results in a project. Check suggestions against your real experience and the employer’s own information. Keep specific facts accurate, and replace generic language with words you would naturally use.
Move from notes to a spoken answer
- Write three prompts for an example: the problem, your action and what changed.
- Answer a question once out loud before polishing the wording.
- Check whether the listener can tell what you personally contributed.
- Practise a follow-up about why you took that approach or what you learned.
Turn preparation into a conversation with Bossed
Bossed uses your CV and the job description to guide a spoken mock interview. You explain your experience, answer follow-up questions and receive session feedback on four interview skills. Use it to identify the part of your answer that needs work, then practise again with a clear goal.
A simple plan for the next three practice sessions
- Session one: rehearse your introduction and why the role interests you.
- Session two: work on two examples that demonstrate the most important responsibilities.
- Session three: answer follow-ups and practise the questions you want to ask the interviewer.
Try it now
Prepare one responsibility, then prove it
“This role involves competing priorities. Tell me about a time you managed that.”
- Choose a real example and name the competing requests.
- Explain how you decided what came first and how you communicated the tradeoff.
- Ask yourself what happened next, then repeat the answer with that result included.
