Questions you’ll practice

Common phrasings of what this interview asks, and what each one tests. An AI dental school interviewer works from your own application, so expect follow-ups on what you say.

    Tests: motivation specific to dentistry

  2. “What did you learn from shadowing a dentist?”

Tests: insight from real exposure to practice

  3. “Tell me about something you have made or fixed with your hands.”

Tests: manual dexterity, patience and attention to detail

  4. “How would you help a patient who is anxious about treatment?”

Tests: empathy and communication with patients

  5. “What is the biggest issue facing dentistry today?”

Tests: awareness of access, cost and public health

  6. “Tell me about a time you worked as part of a team.”

Tests: teamwork and your part in it

  7. “Tell me about a setback and how you responded.”

Tests: resilience and learning from failure

  8. “Where do you see yourself in ten years?”

Tests: a realistic picture of a dental career

  9. “Why our school?”

Tests: research into the school’s own program

You like dentistry. You didn’t yet say why it isn’t medicine.

In your words
“I’ve always liked working with my hands, and I just really enjoyed shadowing…”
Turn 1 · 0:51
Do this next time

Name one thing you saw in the operatory that only a dentist does, then why it fits you.

By question
  1. “Why dentistry and not medicine?”

Genuine, but generic. One moment from shadowing would carry it.

  2. “How would you help a patient who is anxious about treatment?”

Warm and practical. Check understanding before you start.

  3. “Why our school?”

Answered directly. Name a clinic or program on the school’s own page.

One question, and what a strong answer does

An example of the kind of question you’ll be asked, and what the feedback looks for.

Illustrative example, not a real session
Dental school interviewer

“A patient asks for a cosmetic treatment you don’t think is in their best interest. What do you do?”

Follow-up: “What if they say they will just go to another dentist?”

What a strong answer does

  • Respects the patient’s autonomy while being honest about the concern.
  • Asks what the patient wants to achieve before arguing against it.
  • Explains the risks and alternatives in plain language and checks understanding.
  • Knows where the line is, and would document the conversation.

Before you ask

Is an AI good enough?

For the reps, yes. It asks, listens and follows up on what you actually said, up to two hours a day, at 2 a.m. or the night before. Then it scores four skills and quotes your own words back, so you know exactly which answer to fix.

Voice only?

Yes, no camera. You practice saying it, which is the part that goes wrong. It does not grade body language.

Will it know my school?

Upload your resume and paste the school’s page. It asks why there from what the page says. It is built not to guess at facts the page doesn’t give.

How fast can I start?

Setup takes about two minutes and needs no account. You choose a plan before your first interview.

How it works

Set up in about two minutes, then interview out loud and see your scores.

  1. Add your application and the school

Upload your resume or paste your personal statement, then paste the school’s page. Both are optional, and setup takes about two minutes.

  2. Interview out loud

Pick 10 minutes for one MMI station, or 15 or 20 for a traditional or panel interview.

  3. Get scored on four skills

Insight, communication, ethical reasoning and teamwork, each scored, with your own words quoted back and feedback question by question.

  4. Go again before the next school

Swap in the next school’s page and practice the questions that interview will bring.

The night before

The same evening, two ways.

Without rehearsing

  • “Why dentistry” comes out as “I like working with my hands”.
  • Your shadowing hours are a list of procedures, not a story.
  • The ethics case still starts with “So, um…”.

After practicing out loud

  • Your “why dentistry” has a patient in it, and a reason only dentistry answers.
  • You tell one shadowing moment and what it taught you, briefly.
  • You’ve talked the ethics case through: the patient’s wishes first, then the line.

Good to know

15 minutes by default

Choose 10 minutes for one MMI station, or 15 or 20 for a traditional interview.

Voice only

Voice only: no camera and no video, so no feedback on body language. Your spoken answers are transcribed so they can be scored.

Your interviewer’s accent

Your interviewer speaks with an American accent. You can change it in Settings.

Practice before each invitation, so every interview starts from your best answers.

Questions

What to know before you start practicing.

Is the interviewer a real person?
No. One AI dental school interviewer asks the questions out loud, listens to your answer and follows up on what you actually said.
Does it use my camera or record video?
No. It is voice only: no camera and no video, so there is no feedback on body language. Your spoken answers are transcribed so they can be scored.
Can I practice for a specific school?
Yes. Paste the school’s own page during setup and the interviewer asks why that school, from what the page says. It is built not to guess at facts the page doesn’t give.
How long is a session?
You choose 10, 15 or 20 minutes; 15 is preselected. Pick 10 for a single MMI station.
What does it cost, and can I cancel?
$29.99 a month or $12.99 a week, in US dollars, with up to two hours of interviews a day. Cancel anytime in Settings, with no cancellation fee, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
What doesn’t it cover?
Each session is one spoken interview with one AI interviewer. It does not cover a full MMI circuit (each session is one station or one panel), actor role-play stations, Casper and PREview, group tasks, written, data or dexterity stations, manual dexterity tasks or the DAT.
