Radiology and ST3 interview practice
Give your specialty portfolio a voice in the interview.
Explain your commitment, clinical governance and leadership with substance. An AI assessor follows up on your examples so you can make your contribution clear.
For UK doctors applying to clinical radiology or to ST3 higher specialty training.
- Voice only, no camera
- Reads your CV and portfolio
- Every day, up to two hours
$12.99 a week or $29.99 a month. Cancel at any time in Settings.
“Tell me about a complaint or an incident you were involved in.”
- Clinical knowledge and reasoning
- Communication and patient-centredness
- Judgement, ethics and professionalism
- Teamwork and leadership
“I’d done the audit, but I wasn’t explaining what changed because of it. The follow-up made me separate my contribution from the department’s work.”
Questions you’ll practise
Common phrasings of what this interview asks, and what each one tests. An AI consultant assessor works from your own application, so expect follow-ups on what you say.
-
“Tell me about a complaint or an incident you were involved in.”
Tests: candour and learning from incidents
-
“You are asked to report a scan outside your competence. What do you do?”
Tests: working safely within your limits
-
“Why this specialty, and what have you done to show it?”
Tests: commitment, evidenced from your portfolio
-
“What is clinical governance, and how have you been involved?”
Tests: governance understood through your own work
-
“Tell me about a time you taught a junior colleague.”
Tests: teaching and supporting others
-
“Tell me about a time you led a team or a project.”
Tests: leadership with a measurable result
-
“How will AI change the specialty in the next ten years?”
Tests: awareness of where the specialty is going
-
“How do you handle disagreement with a senior colleague?”
Tests: professional challenge and patient safety
-
“What kind of consultant do you want to be?”
Tests: a credible long-term career plan
Setup takes about two minutes.
Know what to change before the real interview
See where your answer lost its point, what was missing and what to try next. Your own words, with feedback on each question and scores across four skills.
Candid, but your own part got lost in the team’s.
“So the department, er, looked into it, and we all agreed that the process needed…”
Say “I” for what you did: what you noticed, who you told, and what you changed.
-
“Tell me about a complaint or an incident you were involved in.”
Open and calm. Name your own action, not the department’s.
-
“You are asked to report a scan outside your competence. What do you do?”
Safe. Say who you would ask and how you would document it.
-
“Why this specialty, and what have you done to show it?”
Good evidence. Lead with the reason, then the proof.
Illustrative example. Your scores will differ.
“My commitment answer was full of things anyone could say. Practising helped me use the experiences that actually led me to this specialty.”
One question, and what a strong answer does
An example of the kind of question you’ll be asked, and what the feedback looks for.
“Tell me about an audit or quality improvement project you led, and what changed because of it.”
Follow-up: “What would you do differently if you ran it again?”
What a strong answer does
- States the problem and the standard it was measured against in one or two sentences.
- Says clearly what you personally did, not what the team did.
- Gives the change that followed and whether the loop was closed.
- Reflects honestly on the limits and the next step.

Before you ask
Is an AI good enough?
For the reps, yes. It asks, listens and follows up on what you actually said, up to two hours a day, at 2 a.m. or the night before. Then it scores four skills and quotes your own words back, so you know exactly which answer to fix.
Does it mark me the way the panel does?
No. It scores four skills of its own, with a note on every question. It does not reproduce the official mark scheme.
Voice only?
Yes, no camera. You practise saying it, which is the part that goes wrong under pressure. It does not grade body language.
How fast can I start?
Setup takes about two minutes and needs no account. You choose a plan before your first interview.
How it works
Set up in about two minutes, then interview out loud and see your scores.
-
Add your CV and portfolio
Upload your CV or paste your portfolio summary. No account needed, and setup takes about two minutes.
-
Interview out loud
Pick 10 minutes for one station, or 15 or 20 for a longer run. One AI consultant assessor asks and follows up.
-
Get scored on four skills
Clinical reasoning, communication, judgement and teamwork, each scored, with your own words quoted back and a note on every question.
-
Go again on the hard question
Run the governance or leadership question again until your example holds up under follow-up.
The night before
The same evening, two ways.
Without rehearsing
- Your governance example lives in your portfolio. You’ve never told it out loud.
- Your incident answer drifts into what the department did.
- Your commitment is a list of courses, not a reason.
After practising out loud
- You’ve told your governance example out loud, with a follow-up behind it.
- Your incident answer says what you did and what changed.
- Your commitment is one reason, and the evidence for it.
