Questions you’ll practise
Common phrasings of what this interview asks, and what each one tests. An AI admissions interviewer works from your own application, so expect follow-ups on what you say.
-
“How would you cope with the death of a patient?”
Tests: emotional resilience and seeking support
-
“Why this profession, and why now?”
Tests: motivation grounded in real experience
-
“What do the 6Cs mean to you in practice?”
Tests: NHS values, shown rather than recited
-
“Tell me about a time you showed compassion to someone.”
Tests: compassion with a concrete example
-
“What is your role in a multidisciplinary team?”
Tests: understanding of the wider care team
-
“What challenges is the NHS facing at the moment?”

-

Setup takes about two minutes.
Know what to change before the real interview
See where your answer lost its point, what was missing and what to try next. Your own words, with feedback on each question and scores across four skills.
You named the right values. The example to prove them was missing.
“I think compassion is, um, really important, and so is being a good listener…”
Pick one time you cared for someone, and let the story show the value for you.
-
“How would you cope with the death of a patient?”
Honest. Say who you would talk to, and how you would look after yourself.
-
“What do the 6Cs mean to you in practice?”
Recited well. Show one of them in something you did.
-
“A patient refuses personal care. What do you do?”
Respected the patient’s choice. Add when you would tell the nurse in charge.
Illustrative example. Your scores will differ.
“I got nervous and tried to say everything at once. Having one specific thing to work on after each session made the next go feel manageable.”
One question, and what a strong answer does
An example of the kind of question you’ll be asked, and what the feedback looks for.
“On placement, you see a healthcare assistant speaking rudely to an elderly patient. What do you do?”
Follow-up: “What if the assistant is much more senior than you?”
What a strong answer does
- Puts the patient’s dignity and safety first.
- Would check on the patient and speak up at the right moment.
- Knows who to raise it with: the mentor or the nurse in charge.
- Stays professional and fair to the colleague while doing so.

Before you ask
Is an AI good enough?
For the reps, yes. It asks, listens and follows up on what you actually said, up to two hours a day, at 2 a.m. or the night before. Then it scores four skills and quotes your own words back, so you know exactly which answer to fix.
Voice only?
Yes, no camera. You practise saying it, which is the part that goes wrong. It does not grade body language.
Which courses is it for?
Nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, paramedic science, occupational therapy, radiography and the other allied health degrees. Paste the course page and the questions follow it.
How fast can I start?
Setup takes about two minutes and needs no account. You choose a plan before your first interview.
How it works
Set up in about two minutes, then interview out loud and see your scores.
-
Add your statement and the course
Upload your CV or paste your personal statement, then paste the course page. Both are optional, and setup takes about two minutes.
-
Interview out loud
Pick 10, 15 or 20 minutes. One AI interviewer asks, listens and follows up on what you actually said.
-
Get scored on four skills
Insight, communication, ethical reasoning and teamwork, each scored, with your own words quoted back and feedback question by question.
-
Go again before the next university
Swap in the next course page and practise the questions that interview will bring.
The night before
The same evening, two ways.
Without rehearsing
- You can list the NHS values. You’ve never shown one in a story out loud.
- You don’t know what you’d say if they ask about losing a patient.
- Your “why nursing” sounds like everyone else’s.
After practising out loud
- You’ve told one care story that shows compassion without naming it.
- You’ve said your answer about loss out loud, honestly, with who you’d turn to.
- Your “why nursing” has a person in it, and it’s yours.
