Demo session
The interviewer asks

Tell me about a strategic priority you stopped funding.

The answer
We had three teams building similar internal tools while customer delivery was slipping. I reviewed usage and maintenance costs with their managers, then proposed retiring two tools and consolidating support. We agreed a migration period, moved capacity to the customer work and reviewed service levels during the transition.

Before you start

How to prepare your examples and get the most from your practice.

How should I prepare for this interview?
Choose a strategic trade-off, an organisational change and an investment decision. Explain the alternatives, who you aligned and what happened over time.
Will these questions come up in my interview?
These are original practice examples covering useful themes for this role. Your employer will choose its own questions. Match your preparation to the job description and the interview invitation.
Can I use examples from study or volunteering?
Yes. Pick a real situation where you made a decision, helped someone or solved a problem. Explain your own contribution and be clear about the setting.
Should I memorise the example answer?
Use it to understand the structure, then practise with your own experience. A story you know well is easier to adapt when the interviewer asks a follow-up.
How does spoken practice help?
Saying an answer out loud reveals the details you skip and the parts that run on. Bossed gives feedback so you can improve one part and try again.
